With the practical and effective support of the agency throughout their development, the Grands Domaines du Senegal, a subsidiary of the Compagnie Fruitière, became in less than 5 years the market leader in Senegal in the production and export of fresh fruit and vegetables, with 8000 tons of fresh produce exported each year.
Because our production facilities are in the delta of the Senegal River, a few miles north of St. Louis and some 4 hours away from Dakar, APIX decentralization in 2007 increased daily exchanges with the local APIX in St. Louis. This led to a further efficiency of APIX services as it streamlined communication and brought stakeholders closer together.
