APIX performs a dynamic and operational form of management, and has some experience in the identification and realisation of the most judicious choices in the field of investment. It is made up of a young and motivated multilingual team, whose unique ambition is to make Senegal the biggest economic development hub in West Africa.

The Agency’s operational structure is based on the following two elements:
• The Strategic Committee for the Promotion of Investment
• The Executive Board

THE STRATEGIC COMMITTEE FOR THE PROMOTION OF INVESTMENT |
The Strategic Committee for the Promotion of Investment is a structure in charge of the monitoring and follow-up of APIX’s activities in the field of investment promotion, in compliance with the orientations set by the President of the Republic. Its missions are the following:
• It puts forward measures that could help promote investment and create an environment of good management and good governance
• It sets out the operational programme, as well as the budget, and the Agency’s procedures in the field of investment promotion.
• It is in charge of the follow-up of activities and validates the Director-General’s activity report in the field of investment promotion.
The powers and operating rules of the Strategic Committee are set by decree of the President of the Republic, who appoints its members, with whom he also meets every six months, or whenever they deem necessary. The Strategic Committee comprises the following members:
• The Chair
• Three representatives of the State
• Three representatives of the private sector
• APIX’s Director-General, who performs the duty of the Executive Secretariat of the strategic committee and also participates in all sessions.

THE EXECUTIVE BOARD |
APIX is chaired by a Director-General, who is appointed by decree. He/she is in charge of the smooth realisation of all the Agency’s missions. He/she is assisted by a deputy Director-General, who is appointed on proposal of the Director-General.
For the daily performing of its mandate, the Directorate-General works in cooperation with the three operational Departments :
• The Department for the Promotion of Investment
• The Investor Services Department
• The Communication Department
• The Major Projects Department
The functions of the Administration and Finance Department, which is under the supervision of APIX’s Director-General, are the following :
• To ensure the good organisation and smooth running of the Agency
• To submit to the President of the Republic an action plan, as well as a budgetary programme relating to major projects;
• To submit to the Strategic Committee an action plan and a budgetary programme in the field of investment promotion ;
• To search for all kinds of financing necessary to the fulfilling of its mission
• To carry out procedures for the award of contracts
• To sign for all markets, contracts or conventions in compliance its mission statement.
