In order to come to Senegal, you need a valid visa (preferably one that expires more than three years after your arrival) or a valid national identity card for ECOWAS nationals;
A visa is compulsory, except for natives of ECOWAS, EU nationals and bordering countries, who do not require a visa when staying in the country for less than three months.
For natives from other countries, visas are issued by Senegalese embassies and consulates throughout the world.
Go to the nearest Senegalese representative with a valid passport and an identity card.
Vaccinations
Vaccination against yellow fever is compulsory. It is recommended that you have an international vaccination card (that you show at your arrival at the airport) stating that you had the anti amaril vaccination (yellow fever).
Vaccination against hepatitis A and B are strongly recommended, as well as an anti-malarial treatment.
For animals, an antirabies vaccination and a good health certificate are required.
Formalities and customs allowances
Senegal has signed the New York Convention on customs facilities for the promotion of tourism. Up to two hunting arms with can be imported duty free. You must, beforehand, have an authorization from the Minister of the Interior and the holder must pay duties for the game licence and the licence to carry fire arms.
